Common Questions

Is spray foam insulation safe?
Yes. Once fully cured, spray foam is a stable, inert material with no ongoing health risk. The only real safety window is during application and curing, which is why our installers use protective gear and proper ventilation.
Do I need to leave my house during installation?
Plan to be out for about a day, up to two for larger closed-cell jobs, while the crew works and the foam fully cures. Most homeowners treat it as a built-in excuse to run errands or get away for a night.
Will it smell?
There is a temporary chemical odor during application and curing. That is normal, and it clears once the foam is fully cured, usually within a 24 to 48 hour window.
How long does installation take?
Most residential attic and crawl space jobs are done in a single day, often just two to five hours of actual spray time depending on square footage. Larger or multi-area projects can run one to two days.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam?
Open-cell is lighter and softer, a strong air seal at a lower cost. Closed-cell is denser, adds more R-value per inch, and also resists moisture. During your free estimate we recommend the one that fits the area and your budget.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. iFOAM of Northwest Arkansas offers financing so the full cost does not have to come out of pocket up front.
